A turquoise gaze pierces through a slice of citrus, as if suspended between dream and reality. This painting golden lemon captures a moment of pure solar sensuality, where the freshness of the fruit meets the warmth of an amber skin.
The close-up framing reveals a feminine face in close-up, dominated by an intense palette of golden yellow . A wide striped hat partially hides the forehead while an eye turquoise with long eyelashes immediately catches the eye. A slice of lemon delicately overlays the eye, its fibrous texture rendered with striking realism. In the background, floral motifs in turquoise provide a refreshing contrast to the amber warmth of the skin. The pouty lip, tinted orange, completes this sensual composition. The pictorial treatment blends fine detail and textured impasto, giving a sense of almost tactile relief. The whole evokes a work between classic portrait and contemporary fantasy.
