A face inclined in contemplation, bathed in red and purple highlights, invites you to slow your gaze. This portrait of Shiva exudes a sacred tranquility that traverses the room without a sound.

A face inclined in contemplation, bathed in red and purple highlights, invites you to slow your gaze. This portrait of Shiva exudes a sacred tranquility that traverses the room without a sound.

The visual

The face, inclined downwards, occupies the center of the composition in a meditative posture imbued with softness. A silver crescent moon adorns the dark hair, while ritual markings in red and ochre traverse the forehead. Long strands of brown hair undulate around the portrait, blending with splashes of purple and crimson paint that seem to explode on the right side. In the background, a hazy landscape in beige and pale gray tones evokes a lake surrounded by silent conifers. Magenta flowers dot the bottom of the canvas, bringing a touch of organic life. The contrast between the fineness of the face and the freedom of the color projections creates a striking pictorial tension. Soft, diffused light envelops the whole in an almost dreamlike atmosphere.

Tips for integrating into your interior

  • ❯Opt for a light beige or taupe wall to highlight the red and purple highlights of the wall art.
  • ❯Favor furniture made of raw wood or rattan to accompany the organic dimension of the artwork.
  • ❯Install this wall art in a living room or bedroom dedicated to relaxation and meditation.
  • ❯Pair it with cushions or a rug in magenta, terracotta or anthracite tones.
  • ❯Create a cozy atmosphere with subdued lighting to enhance the contemplative atmosphere of the portrait.

Which walls

Our fixings suit the most common interior walls. The adhesive plate sticks to the back of the artwork, never to the wall. It is the hook that gets screwed in, with the wall plugs provided.

  • Solid walls — Concrete, brick, breeze block, solid plaster: the wall plugs supplied are suitable.
  • Hollow walls — Plasterboard, drywall: allow for an expansion plug, not supplied.
  • Hard walls — Tile or stone: drill using a bit suited to the material.

Everything about this artwork

What symbolism lies behind this Shiva painting with a crescent moon?

The crescent moon placed in the hair evokes mastery of time and the divine serenity attributed to this sacred figure. This Shiva red painting marks the character's forehead with sacred motifs, symbols of spirituality and protection. The inclined posture, closed eyes, conveys a state of deep meditation. This Shiva ochre and purple painting thus embodies a suspended moment between contemplation and inner power, far from any agitation.

How to combine this purple Shiva painting with bedroom decor?

In a bedroom with neutral tones, this purple Shiva painting brings a spiritual touch without overwhelming the space. Shades of terracotta red and brown blend easily with beige or ivory bedding. This fauve Shiva painting finds its place above a light wood headboard, creating a soft contrast between the natural material and the intense color bursts of the painting.

Why offer this Shiva painting to someone seeking serenity?

This ochre Shiva painting is perfect for someone drawn to meditation or spiritual practices. The serene face, framed by dark strands and bursts of bright red, exudes a rare contemplative energy. Offering this Shiva anthracite and purple painting is to convey a message of inner calm, an invitation to slow down in the face of the daily turmoil.

What artistic style does this Shiva painting with a hazy background recall?

The technique used on this Shiva painting evokes contemporary figurative painting, blending the realism of the face and almost abstract pictorial bursts in red and white. The hazy background, treated in a range of grays and beiges, recalls Impressionist landscapes. This Shiva terracotta painting plays on this contrast between the precision of the portrait and the freedom of the pictorial gesture around it, a rare balance between figuration and free expression.

Where to hang this Shiva painting to enhance a living room?

In a living room with light walls, this red Shiva painting immediately becomes the focal point of the room thanks to its purple bursts and soothing hazy background. Hanging this ochre Shiva painting above a linen or anthracite velvet sofa creates a harmonious dialogue between materials. This work is suitable for interiors that seek a presence that is both discreet and full of meaning.
