  • Solid walls — Concrete, brick, breeze block, solid plaster: the wall plugs supplied are suitable.
  • Hollow walls — Plasterboard, drywall: allow for an expansion plug, not supplied.

Everything about this artwork

The use of colour in this Jean-François Millet painting is essential for evoking an immediate emotion. The palette is built on a harmony between the warm tones of the ground and the trees, and the soft, luminous hues of the sky. This contrast creates a comforting sensation of warmth, while leaving room for an atmosphere of calm and reflection. The dark silhouette stands out subtly from the setting, lending a strong presence without breaking the overall harmony. The blend of golden and bluish shades suggests a seamless transition, like a passage between two worlds, two moments. This duality heightens the immersive power of the work, making this painting an invitation to contemplation.
