A golden flame dances at the center of waves that extend to infinity. This floating candle painting captures a suspended moment, imbued with serenity and meditative sweetness.
A small round candle floats at the center of the composition, its lit wick projecting a bright yellow flame that reflects in golden shards on the water. Around it, concentric waves spread in a gradient of petrol blue and anthracite, treated with watercolor and mastered drips and splashes. The textured ivory background, crisscrossed with fine lines, contrasts with the dark touches that stretch to the right of the painting. The warm light of the flame extends into a golden undulating reflection on the surface of the water. Paint clumps create a striking visual relief, between transparency and density. The whole plays on the balance between the warmth of the flame and the coolness of the aquatic tones. This candle painting stands out for its delicate pictorial style, blending realism and fluid abstraction.
