A village asleep facing the sea, bathed in ochre and navy blue light. This painting captures the soul of a Corsican harbour where every facade tells a story. An invitation to escape, hung on your wall.
This panoramic painting unveils a coastal village clustered around a bell tower, typical of the Corsican shoreline. The ochre and cream facades of the houses contrast with the deep navy blue of the sea and sky. The illustrated composition, in a clean graphic style, plays with flat areas of colour and stylised shapes evoking clouds and mountain ridges in the background. Touches of olive green enliven the Mediterranean vegetation lining the homes. The harbour, dotted with small white sailboats, brings a luminous breath to the right side of the work. Light seems to bathe the whole scene in a soft clarity, characteristic of summer mornings. Overall it radiates a picturesque serenity, somewhere between architectural tradition and the endless marine horizon.
