A moment of pure freedom captured at the peak of a leap. This white beluga whale emerges from the water like a breath of fresh air in an interior, carried by turquoise waves that seem to still be moving on the canvas.
The composition opposes two distinct universes with remarkable clarity. At the top, a pastel sky blue almost translucent evokes air and space, crossed with subtle lines that suggest a window or a reflection. At the bottom, anthracite and navy blue waves unfold in energetic, almost calligraphic strokes, charged with white foam projected in splashes. The beluga whale, all pearly white accentuated with fine black outlines, occupies the center of the scene in an arched and graceful posture. Its single eye, discreet, brings a touch of life to this almost abstract silhouette. The play of material between the smooth surface of the sky and the tormented texture of the water creates a strong visual contrast. The whole conveys a feeling of suspended movement, between aerial lightness and oceanic power.
