Let yourself be captivated by the contemplative softness of this watercolor that captures the very essence of the Japanese art of living. This delicate artwork will transform your interior into a true sanctuary of serenity where every glance becomes an invitation to spiritual journey.

The Visual

This watercolor presents a tea service of refined elegance, dominated by aquamarine hues and creamy beige that blend harmoniously. The Japanese teapot, with its generous and soothing forms, displays delicate golden trim that accentuates its perfect curves. Beside it, a matching cup reveals a warm ochre interior that subtly contrasts with its powdered turquoise exterior. The watercolor technique bestows upon the whole a vaporous and luminous texture, where the pearlescent reflections of the porcelain capture light with remarkable softness. The delicate ivory background highlights every detail, while the cast shadows add striking three-dimensional depth. This refined composition breathes the quietude and authenticity of Japanese ceramic art.

Which walls

Our fixings suit the most common interior walls. The adhesive plate sticks to the back of the artwork, never to the wall. It is the hook that gets screwed in, with the wall plugs provided.

  • Solid walls — Concrete, brick, breeze block, solid plaster: the wall plugs supplied are suitable.
  • Hollow walls — Plasterboard, drywall: allow for an expansion plug, not supplied.
  • Hard walls — Tile or stone: drill using a bit suited to the material.

Everything about this artwork

What do the aqua green tones of this Japanese teapot symbolize in traditional art?

The aqua green and beige shades of this watercolor evoke serenity and harmony, core values of the Japanese tea ceremony. These soft colors symbolize the connection with nature and the pursuit of beauty in simplicity. The artist chose these tones to convey the meditative spirit of chanoyu.

Do the golden pinstripes carry a particular meaning in this depiction?

The fine golden pinstripes adorning the tea set reflect the refinement of quality Japanese porcelain. These precious details underline the importance given to every utensil in the tea ceremony, where beauty and function come together. They also add a touch of warm light to the whole.

Would this artwork suit a lover of minimalist decor?

Absolutely, this watercolor perfectly embraces minimalist principles with its uncluttered composition and calming colors. The restraint of the line and the absence of superfluous elements match the Japanese aesthetic of "less is more." It brings a note of understated elegance without overwhelming the space.

Can you tell what era inspired this painted tea set?

The rounded shape of the teapot and the harmonious proportions of the cup suggest inspiration drawn from Japanese craftsmanship of the Edo or Meiji periods. The style of the watercolor, blending Eastern tradition with Western technique, recalls the artistic exchanges between Japan and Europe in the 19th century.

How does this color palette influence the atmosphere of a room?

This harmony of soft greens, creamy beiges and golden accents creates a soothing atmosphere that invites contemplation. These natural tones have the ability to reduce visual stress and foster a sense of well-being. The artwork will instantly transform your space into a peaceful haven conducive to relaxation.
