The composition is organized into vertical bands reminiscent of charred wood columns or suspended fabric scraps. The gold dominates the upper part, shining against the surrounding anthracite gray , while touches of scarlet red punctuate certain bands like fresh paint streaks. The texture is particularly elaborate: one can distinguish impasto, cracks and material effects that recall bark or oxidized metal. Towards the bottom of the painting, forms evoking dark flowers emerge from the shadows, bringing an unexpected organic touch to this geometric abstraction.
