The composition presents a multitude of tulips painted with a palette knife, a technique that gives relief and thickness to each petal. The golden hues and ochre dominate the scene, enhanced by touches of white and a few accents of deep burgundy. The silvery gray background, almost erased, leaves all the space for the flowers that seem to fly towards the top of the canvas.
