The composition is organized around vertical masses evoking buildings melted into a colored haze. Ochre yellow and red ochre occupy the center of the canvas, while areas of turquoise blue and pearl gray frame the whole with more restraint. A touch of rose magenta appears on the left, bringing an unexpected chromatic counterpoint. The lower part imitates a water surface, where each color is repeated in reflection, softened and stretched vertically.
