The artwork displays two long clusters of violet wisteria and pale mauve which plunge vertically from a gnarled branch painted in shades of brown. The cream and sand beige background evokes the rice paper of traditional prints, leaving plenty of room for floral finesse. The surrounding foliage, treated in faded sepia tones, contrasts with the intensity of the violet petals, creating a beautiful pictorial depth.
