Balance is one of the pillars of this Giuseppe Arcimboldo painting. I wanted the face to be immediately identifiable, while being completely integrated into the lush vegetation. This subtle interplay between simplicity and complexity gives the work a presence that is both gentle and imposing. The distribution of visual masses plays an essential role in this balance. On one side, the refined face, whose features are reduced to the essential; on the other, a dense composition of leaves and flowers, which seems to want to progressively absorb space. This effect recalls the idea of the gradual absorption of man by nature, a theme ever-present in my artistic approach. The choice of monochrome in black and white reinforces this search for balance. It allows me to accentuate the fineness of the lines without distracting the eye, while highlighting the richness of botanical details. The absence of bright colors thus offers a pure and timeless reading, where only the interplay of contrasts allows the image to be structured. This painting thus seeks to be a bridge between graphic minimalism and the complexity of natural forms, in a composition where each element naturally finds its place.
