Finding the perfect balance between recognizable forms and abstraction was one of the challenges of this Sonia Delaunay painting. I sought to make the scene identifiable without confining it to an overly strict framework. The silhouettes of passersby appear as colored shadows, reinforcing this impression of flow and spontaneity. The harmony of colors also contributes to this balance. Intense oranges and reds dominate the composition, but green and blue provide a visual counterpoint that avoids any chromatic saturation. Each element finds its place in a fluid composition, where the eye navigates freely, absorbed by the movement and depth of the scene.
