The mask occupies the entire width of the composition, drawn in wide golden geometric planes that recall the folding of paper or ancient goldsmithing. On its forehead and cheeks, golden swirls engraved in fine lines evoke the traditional arabesques of the Venice Carnival. The background, treated in a navy blue depth, is covered with cashmere patterns, aged paper textures and superimposed decorative fragments in collage. Areas ofanthracite structure certain segments of the mask, creating a clear contrast with the shine of the gold metal. On the right side, a long dark gold ribbon hangs vertically, adding movement to the whole. The eyes of the mask, empty and black, reinforce the enigmatic aspect of the piece.
